Secondary treated wastewater is pumped from the equalisation basin to the pressure filtration system.
The pressure filters are filled with media (sand, anthracite) which aids the removal of faecal coliforms and pathogens which reduce the concentration of nutrient elements, producing tertiary treated effluent of the highest quality.
